For those of us who don't think that discrimination is “common sense”.
Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Uncomfortable? Don’t attend the wedding. Love knows no genders, and you can’t control other people’s lives based on your beliefs. Preventing two consenting adults from being able to marry is refusing to grant them the basic rights of any citizen, it is no better than sexism or racism.
Spewing anti-gay propaganda not only makes people uncomfortable with themselves to the point of trying to suppress their feelings in order to be accepted, it leads to violence. Homosexuality is not a disease, it is not something you can “cure”, and many have been psychologically scarred from attempts to do so. Love thy fellow man doesn't only apply to those who fit the perfect Hallmark card mold, and destroying other people's lives in the name of whatever god you worship doesn't make you a better person.

This group’s focus is to raise awareness about this issue. It is a serious group and so far we only have statistics on Australia with Women in Poverty. If you could watch the group and maybe participate in Discussion that would be amazing. IF you are passionate and want to write blogs etc ask to join! We need members and more information on statistics around the world anyway.
